College student kicked out of “free speech zone” fights back Brittany Mirelez, a freshman at Paradise Valley Community College, obtained permission from an official at the college’s Student Life department to set up a table in the very limited designated “free speech zone” promoting a Young Americans for Liberty group she was trying to start. However, a school official told her when she set up her table that doing so was in violation of campus policy and Mirelez left accordingly. However, she is now filing a lawsuit against the college’s president and other officials claiming her constitutional rights were violated by the school’s actions.
