Can’t find a summer job? Blame the minimum wage.

Since 2008, it has become increasingly hard for teens to find summer jobs. The Heritage Foundation’s chief economist Stephen Moore believes that minimum wage increases are responsible for the ever-increasing unemployment rate for teens. He argues that “super” minimum wages (ie. $15 per hour) that are being implemented in some parts of the country will serve to make the problem much worse, and that an exemption should be made to help those just entering the workforce.
