FBI Outraged That Apple, Google are Adopting Digital “Locks” to Protect Users

After Apple and Google put out stronger encryption software for the
iPhone and Android, respectively, the agency claimed these services
make consumers feel like they are “above the law.” Director James
Comey also believes that consumers will ultimately regret having these
products available, as they may interfere with legitimate law enforcement
efforts that can save lives. Privacy advocates, however, are not
buying his argument.
